Since last April, VIVAQUA has a second ‘Nature Network’ label. After the Tailfer plant (Profondeville), it is now the turn of the Brussels site of ‘Mutsaert’ to receive this label granted by Natagora to companies promoting biodiversity on their properties.

37% of VIVAQUA’s green spaces are classified as nature reserves (Modave and Marchin), Natura 2000 (Modave, Marchin and Nimy) or labeled ‘Nature Network’ (Tailfer and Mutsaert). Because protecting the environment and biodiversity also means protecting water resources.

As part of its ‘diversity action plan’, VIVAQUA also supports the Walloon project ‘Yes we plant’, which aims to improve biodiversity, recreate an ecological network and fight against soil erosion.

Also with the aim of preserving flora and fauna, VIVAQUA practices late mowing on the green spaces around its facilities.

For the redevelopment of the ‘Mutsaert’, located in Laeken, VIVAQUA has favored indigenous plants. The 5,600 m² site is also divided into 4 planting zones to promote biodiversity. Low grass, trees and shrubs, fallow areas and mounds… Each area requires specific maintenance.
