Water quality in your street

The composition of the water distributed in the Brussels-Capital Region meets the standards imposed by the legislation but may vary according to its origin.

Water hardness reflects the calcium and magnesium content dissolved in water.

This content is expressed in French degrees (°f or °fH) or in German degrees (°dH). The higher the degree, the harder the water (it contains more limescale). Between 0 and 5 °fH water is very soft, between 15 and 25 °fH it is moderately hard, between 25 and 40 °fH it is hard and above 40 °fH it is very hard.
