VIVAQUA guarantees a static pressure (= maximum pressure) between 2 and 10.5 bar. The pressure is not always the same, it varies according to the amount of water consumed by the customers: during the day, a lot of water is consumed, so the pressure is lower. At night, it is the opposite. The pressure is then at its peak (= static pressure)
For example, the static pressure is

  • 7 bars at the Grand-Place at 1000 Brussels
  • 6,6 bar at the Square Jean Rey at 1070 Brussels
  • 4 bar at the Square du Solbosch at 1050 Brussels
  • 6,4 bar at the Place de la Reine at 1030 Brussels

You can contact VIVAQUA to know the static pressure in your street.

VIVAQUA can also, at your request, measure the pressure available in your home for 7 days. Please note that you will be charged for this service.

Sometimes the pressure can drop unexpectedly, for example during works on the distribution network. It is often a temporary situation.

In large buildings, it may be necessary to install a device to boost the pressure in order to ensure sufficient pressure.

If the pressure is too high and could damage your private installation (for example, a water heater does generally not resist to a pressure higher than 7 bar), we advise you to install a device to reduce the pressure.
