Rates in the event of leaks
VIVAQUA may give you a reduced rate if your water consumption has more than doubled due to a leak in your private installation. This reduced rate applies to the variable part of the bill.
To benefit from this reduced rate,
- you must submit your application within 12 months of the invoice being issued
- the volumes recorded by a VIVAQUA meter must be at least twice as high as the usual consumption
- within 2 months of your request, you must provide VIVAQUA with the proof that the leak has been repaired. You can send in before and after photos, an invoice for the intervention of a professional or any other element justifying the existence of the leak and its repair. If you cannot provide this proof, an inspection can be carried out free of charge by a VIVAQUA employee
- the leak may not be linked to the non observance of the technical requirements (PDF in French)
After verification, VIVAQUA will apply the rate reduction within 15 days of receiving the complete application.
How is the reduced rate calculated?
Your bill is based on the linear rate?
- For a consumption of 2 to 4 times your usual consumption: the water volumes exceeding 2 to 4 times your usual consumption are charged at 50% of the rate.
- For a consumption of more than 4 times your usual consumption: the water volumes exceeding more than 4 times your usual consumption are charged at 10% of the rate.
Your bill is based on the progressive rate?
- For a consumption of 2 to 4 times your usual consumption: application of the linear rate 2021 minus 75% for a consumption exceeding twice your usual consumption.
- For a consumption of more than 4 times your usual consumption: application of the linear rate 2021 minus 90% for a consumption exceeding 4 times your usual consumption
This reduced rate applies to the price of water as well as to the prices of municipal and regional sanitation.
