The analyses performed by the VIVAQUA laboratory apply to the following areas: water production, distribution and sanitation and testing for public or private third parties.
The VIVAQUA laboratory is accredited to perform various analyses applicable to drinking water, mineral water, spring water, ground water, surface water, bathing water, rainwater, waste water, industrial process water and swimming pool water and air.
The laboratory is able to analyse 300 parameters, with over 90% under accreditation.

The laboratory has a LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)
The laboratory is accredited according to the ISO 17025 international standard (N° 076-TEST). In keeping with the new European directives, solely laboratories that have a quality management system are entitled to produce analysis reports and qualify for regional accreditations.
The VIVAQUA laboratory currently has 4 accreditations, 3 at regional level and 1 at federal level:
- Walloon Region approval for official surface water pollution protection analyses,
- Brussels-Capital Region approval for water sample-taking and analysis according to the laboratory's accreditation scope,
- Flemish Region approval for sampling and analysing different types of water,
- Federal approval granted by the AFSCA (Belgian Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain) to carry out analyses and counter-analyses of samples of food and other products consistent with the scope of the laboratory's accreditation certificate.
